As the Voice of Business for the Greater Victoria region, the Chamber works to ensure the region is a vibrant and prosperous place to carry on business. The Chamber seeks to maintain and enhance a strong socially responsible business climate based on the principles of free enterprise and fair profit. George Fuller

George Fuller has been practicing in the field of labour law for more than 35 years. He is in private practice at his firm George Fuller Law Corp. and works on behalf of both public and private sector clients. George appears regularly as counsel for employers for the B.C. Labour Relations Board, Canada Labour Relations Board, and numerous boards of arbitration. He has also been actively involved in the collective bargaining process and has developed an expanding practice as a sole arbitrator and mediator.

George is the 2010 Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. He has also served on a number of chamber committees over the years, including the Business of Sport and the Greater Victoria Development Agency.

George has also enjoyed a very active and lengthy association with Victoria business and sports organizations. He is the former, two-term, President of the American Little League, Director of the Vic West Soccer Association, a member of Team Canada (Baseball), and a member of the Victoria Sports Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Sports Centre Pacific Society and is the past chair of Governance and Compensation Committee and a member of Sustainability Committee of that organization.

As a result of his involvement in both business and sports circles, George has been appointed by VANOC to the prestigious position of Ambassador to the 2010 Olympic and Para Olympic Games.

Bruce Carter
Bruce Carter joined the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce in July 2004 as the Chief Executive Officer after working with the chamber for four years as a consultant and volunteer. Bruce has a diverse background including: project management, service as a Naval Officer, wholesale sales, property management and working as a commercial pilot.
