Business Mixers
Vibrant after-hours business social events that provide an excellent opportunity for members and prospective members to meet face-to-face to establish or renew relationships as well as allow the host business to showcase their place of work. Chamber mixers are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 5pm-7pm.
Chamber mixers are a member benefit. Non-members are welcome to attend one mixer as our guest while you consider joining the Chamber.

Business Education Series
A series of professional development sessions taught by our members for our members. The series is consistently achieving the needs of our members, providing informative, timely and valuable education. There are a minimum of 20 sessions throughout the year held in the chamber seminar room during the lunch hour with a maximum of 30 attendees per session. Click on the Events Calendar to source any current sessions (labelled BES).
Speaker proposals can be sent directly to Marsha MacMurchy, Events Manager. There is an internal review process for all speaker proposals to determine whether there is a fit within our current event calendar.

CEO Coffee Hour
One-hour morning policy discussions that provide excellent opportunities for chamber members to meet with the chamber CEO to discuss issues of importance to the business community. These events happen the first Tuesday of every month from 8:30am – 9:30am at member businesses.

New Members Breakfast
This is a premier event that new members will not want to miss. At this event you will have the opportunity to network with other new members, meet members of the board and staff, and learn first hand the chamber benefits available to you as a member. These events occur 3-4 times a year from 7:30am – 9:00am.

CEO Breakfast
A closed session with the chamber CEO and Chair for CEOs of member businesses employing 100 people or more designed to bring select business leaders and the region's largest employers together to discuss issues of common interest. These events occur twice a year in May & November from 7:30am – 9:00am.

Business Leaders Series
This series features informative breakfast or luncheon presentations by business, government and institutional speakers on various topics. Elected officials, high profile business people, and recognized experts keep chamber members up-to-date on topical events and issues affecting the business community.

Provincial Finance Minister Luncheon
Annual provincial budget presentation from the provincial finance minister. This luncheon occurs in February on a date determined by the minister’s office. It predominately falls on the day after the provincial budget speech.

PEAK Retail Training Series
A three-part series of courses designed to help retailers grow their skills and the skills of their staff in the key areas of customer service, sales and human resource management. Each session is filled with situational examples – skills and ideas that can be applied right away. Registration fee includes, pins, certificates, course manuals and instruction materials. This is an annual event that will occur this year over a 3-week period in May. This series has been cancelled for 2010.

Boot Camp for Board Members
A two-day workshop held annually in March that provides comprehensive board training specific to not-for-profit, charity, business associations or community organizations. Seminars cover board procedures such as the roles of the board and staff, director’s liability insurance, fundraising 101, the legal obligations of a board member and much more.

Greater Victoria Business Awards
This award winning gala event is held annually in April and boasts a spectacular night of prestige, entertainment, and celebration. The Business Awards recognize members in 14 different award categories who have achieved excellence in business through their own abilities, efforts, and initiatives. Annual General Meeting
Chamber’s annual general meeting and mayoral keynote address. This luncheon occurs in May and features a keynote speech from the Mayor of one of our local municipalities.

Annual Golf Tournament
Bring the whole office regardless of experience and expertise, and have fun at this must-attend event. The 9-hole event is held each year in June at the Prospect Lake Golf Course and boasts a premium golf experience, dinner after the tournament and a prize for each golfer.

Business Services Show
The largest and most diverse one-day business tradeshow featuring over 90 exhibitors from a wide range of Victoria businesses. This is your opportunity to directly market your products to over 1000 attendees. That's 1000 opportunities to make new contacts, sell your products and educate the business community about what you do! The Networking Reception from 5-7pm is another opportunity to mingle with local business people.

Small Business Week
Small business makes up over 95% of the Chamber's membership and small business is the backbone of the Greater Victoria business community. Small Business Week celebrates and creates awareness of the significant contribution small businesses make to our economy. Annual Dinner Auction
The annual dinner auction is the Chamber’s major fundraising event with proceeds supporting our work as the largest and most influential advocate for businesses in the region. This gala event occurs in November and features a Silent and Live Auction with over 200 auction items for bid. The 2010 Annual Dinner Auction is happening on Friday, November 26, 2010. Christmas Luncheon
Celebrate the season at this annual Christmas Luncheon. Enjoy a traditional turkey lunch, musical entertainment, strolling carolers, and door prizes. This annual event occurs on the second Friday in December.

Chair's Reception
Annual Christmas reception recognizing and thanking the work of the outgoing Chair and those who have contributed to the success of the Chamber throughout the year. This reception is paired with the December Business Mixer and is held at the chamber office from 5pm – 7pm during the first week of December.
