Five years after moving to Canada, Inderbir Singh leveraged his expertise in protection services to launch an exciting local company in 2022. Western Canada Security delivers full-scope supports, driven by advanced technology and a mandate to create a friendly, watchful presence in our region. Inderbir’s inspirational vision and positive leadership have produced phenomenal growth. The company now employs more than 55 security professionals, keeping businesses, homes, and public spaces safe and secure. Kane Hammontree, Solve Energy

Kane Hammontree is the founder and CEO of Solve Energy, a rapidly growing solar energy installer that has become a local industry leader. After starting as a solar energy consultant in Southern California for a number of years, Kane returned home to Victoria in 2022 to start Solve Energy. Kane began Solve as a one-person operation in 2023. It quickly grew and he hired salespeople, installation crews, and project managers. By 2024, Solve had completed over 400 installations and expanded into Metro Vancouver, the Okanagan, and Alberta. In 2025, Kane was honoured on the BC 30-under-30 list and founded the non-profit “Clean-Up Victoria Society.” Solve currently employs 48 team members and has helped over 1000 people switch to solar.
