The Parkside Hotel & Spa is partnering with artist Dana Batho and Raincoast Conservation Foundation to present Art with Impact | Live Art for Conservation on Saturday, June 6, 2026, as part of Ocean Week Canada.

The special live painting and fundraising event will invite guests to experience the creative process in real time as Dana Batho creates an original artwork inspired by the beauty and interconnectedness of coastal ecosystems. Hosted in the hotel’s atrium in Victoria, BC, the event will bring together art, community, and conservation in support of endangered killer whales and the ecosystems they depend on.

Following the live painting experience, the completed artwork will be auctioned online for 7–10 days, with 50% of the final winning bid donated to Raincoast Conservation Foundation to support the organization’s 2026 field season and ongoing conservation efforts. To further maximize impact, The Parkside Hotel & Spa will also make a matching contribution toward the final winning bid, up to a designated amount.

The event highlights the power of art and community connection to inspire environmental stewardship while supporting meaningful conservation initiatives along the West Coast.
