Last weekend, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria hosted its 37th Annual Paint-In, transforming Moss Street into a vibrant outdoor gallery and welcoming thousands of residents and visitors for a day of creativity, culture, and community connection.

Bringing together artists from across Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands, the event showcased an incredible range of artistic talent, from painting and photography to sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media works. Visitors had the opportunity to meet artists, watch live demonstrations, purchase original artwork, and learn more about the creative process behind each piece.

Drawing more than 50,000 attendees each year, the Art Gallery Paint-In is recognized as the largest summer arts festival on Vancouver Island and one of Greater Victoria’s most anticipated community events. The festival stretched along Moss Street all the way to Dallas Road, creating a lively atmosphere filled with art, music, food, and family-friendly activities.

Throughout the day, guests enjoyed hands-on art experiences, explored booths hosted by local organizations and vendors, sampled food from a variety of local businesses, and connected with members of Victoria’s thriving arts community. The event provided opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the arts while celebrating the creativity and talent that make the region unique.

More than just an art festival, the Paint-In continues to serve as a gathering place that brings together artists, residents, visitors, and community organizations, highlighting the important role that arts and culture play in building a vibrant and connected community.
