On March 26th, 2026 Beacon Community Services hosted “Beacon Bits”, bringing together business leaders, community champions, and local supporters to make a tangible difference for individuals and families facing food insecurity.
The inaugural event exceeded expectations, raising more than $87,000 to support food security initiatives through Beacon Community Services. Those funds will help provide thousands of meals and ensure that individuals and families have access to nutritious food when they need it most.
“Food insecurity is not a challenge that any one organization can solve alone,” said Shaun Cerisano, Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships at Beacon Community Services. “Beacon Bits creates an opportunity for businesses to come together, build meaningful relationships, and take a bite out of food insecurity right here in our community.”
They have announced the return of this event for next year, giving a new opportunity for local businesses to participate. The partnerships and relationships made reflect a shared belief that strong communities and strong businesses go hand in hand.
Beacon Bits introduces community-minded business leaders to the Chamber network and highlights how business engagement can drive positive social outcomes. Together, the organizations are creating pathways for both community impact and business growth.
