The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Vancouver Island and Maximum Express are teaming up to host two summertime food drives in support of the Choices Food Pantry.
The events aim to help meet the growing need for food assistance across Greater Victoria as more families turn to community support services.
Community members are encouraged to donate canned food, boxed meals, and cash contributions at the upcoming drives taking place May 30 outside the Sticky Wicket on Douglas Street and June 6 outside Sacred Heart Church (4040 Nelthorpe St.).
Both events will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Every donation will help provide essential support to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the region.
Those unable to attend in person can still contribute online through Society of St. Vincent de Paul Vancouver Island.
