The first annual United Professionals Charity Classic will bring local professionals together for an afternoon of friendly hockey competition, networking, and community impact in support of children and families affected by cancer.

Presented in partnership by Scotiabank and the Victoria Royals, the inaugural event will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Proceeds from the Charity Classic will be donated to End2End Cancer, which supports the Island Kids Cancer Association.

The event invites professionals from across Greater Victoria to lace up and represent their industries in a series of themed hockey matchups, including:

  • Doctors vs Dentists
  • Lawyers vs Accountants
  • Police vs Firefighters

Participants can register to join a team for a minimum contribution of $100, with additional donations encouraged during registration. Players will declare their occupation upon sign-up and be grouped accordingly, with jerseys provided for all participants.

Community members are also encouraged to attend and cheer on the teams, with spectator tickets available for a minimum $5 donation.
