The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will make their anticipated final Vancouver Island appearance on Tuesday, August 4, with a performance over Victoria’s Dallas Road Waterfront.
Hosted by the Greater Victoria Festival Society, the aerial demonstration is expected to draw 20,000–30,000 spectators as the Snowbirds fly the iconic CT-114 Tutor aircraft in what is anticipated to be their final performance on the Island. The event celebrates more than five decades of inspiring Canadians with precision flying from coast to coast.
The Snowbirds demonstration is scheduled to take place from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., with event activities beginning earlier in the afternoon. A live broadcast and simulcast will air on CFAX 1070 starting at 4:30 p.m.
Attendees should plan ahead, as significant traffic congestion and road closures are expected throughout James Bay, Fairfield, and downtown Victoria. Dallas Road will close beginning at approximately 3:00 p.m., with additional closures and restricted access in the surrounding area. There will be no public access to Clover Point during the event, although resident access will be maintained through designated checkpoints.
Drone use is strictly prohibited within or near the event area, as unauthorized drone activity creates a serious aviation safety hazard and may result in enforcement action.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early, review road closure information, and allow extra travel time before and after the performance.
